Youth Provider

The Youth Empowerment Program serves in-school youth (ages 14-18) and out-of-school youth (ages 16-21) in Kanawha County. It is a comprehensive year-round program for at-risk youth to ensure that they have the necessary skills and personal qualities to become productive adults. Program components that youth may participate in are: Leadership Development, Paid/Unpaid Work Activity, Work Readiness, Community Service, Summer Employment, Occupational Training, and Continuing Educational Activities (study skills, tutoring, basic skills, high school completion or equivalent). The Youth Empowerment Program will provide support and assistance to enhance the educational opportunities for youth and in achieving career goals.

Our current Youth Provider is the Human Resource Development Foundation (HRDF).
